• Polymarket, a decentralized predictions market on Polygon, has surpassed $10.2B in lifetime betting volume since 2020, with 71.4M bets placed by over 842K traders. The platform's open interest dropped 65% to $198M from $569M 7 days after the US election. However, Polymarket's open interest since rebounded to $438M as of Jan. 21, recovering 77% of its all-time high reached during the election period.

• Post-US election, Polymarket activity is rebounding. As of Jan. 27, 2025, $100M in markets were open across 2.11K total markets — this matches levels hit on Nov. 6, 2024, which was an all-time high. Political markets dropped by 20% — sports are now the leading category at 41%, followed by politics at 33%, and crypto at 7%.

• Thought leaders with strong followings like @theallinpod are driving creator markets on Polymarket through their ideas and discussions. Before inauguration day, "creator markets" held $13M in open positions, accounting for 8% of all open positions, highlighting their growing visibility and impact.

• Daily active minters on Rodeo, a social app where users can post and earn ETH when others mint their content, increased significantly in late 2024 — the number of daily minters peaked at around 4,000, with current 7-day average remaining approximately 3,000. Since its launch, Rodeo has attracted roughly 30,000 unique minters, who accumulated around 4.8M mints in total. This translates to an average of 160 mints per user.

• There's been a significant rise in daily posters' activity, with a notable increase in late 2024 similar to minters. Daily active posters peaked at around 2,000, while the current 7-day average remains at approximately 1,500. Since launch users have created around 150,000 posts, roughly 12 per poster.

• Revenue on Rodeo spiked in this month to +120 ETH in — that's roughly 12 times higher compared to December. Rodeo's cumulative revenue is 143 ETH. Lifetime revenue generated by creators is at 240 ETH and the creator revenue at 96 ETH.

• WePonder is a social prediction and polling app native to Farcaster. Users can ask surveys, polls and social predictions to crowdsource sentiment. On prediction polls, users get rewarded when correctly predicting the social consensus. Since launching mid December, 1088 users have joined the app posting 284 social prediction polls and winning 9782 USDC. On Dec. 20, 149 new users joined the app representing the largest inflow.

• Engagement on social prediction polls has been steadily on the rise, surpassing 10% of total Ponder wallets on Jan. 25. Above 50% of wallets who have created one poll come back. Similarly, there’s a steady increase in voter participation with 671 voters participating on Jan. 30.

• A curiosity on Farcaster is that WePonder’s engagement tooling are underutilized. The user Replyguys leads the engagement game with 3522 polls of any type posted since summer 2024, followed by the user Degen with 2563 and to-me with 1492. There’s a lot more money to be made with friends.

• Safes are the most widely used smart accounts on Ethereum and EVM chains, and are vital for breakout apps like Polymarket. The prediction market deployed 965K safes, which handled 4.1M transactions and $10.2B in betting volume. The accounts now hold nearly $100M – a higher figure than Nov. 7 2024 during the frenzy of US elections. Polymarket's safes have continued to grow, hitting a new high in January where over 226k safes were deployed and 977k transactions executed.

• World Liberty Financial, a lending platform endorsed by US President Donald Trump, uses a Safe to store assets. To date, the Safe holds 8 ENS names, has processed $1.2B+ in volume – mostly from their WLFI token sales. Most recently, their Safe hit a new all-time high with over $200M in assets under management.

• Following their new strategy, the Ethereum Foundation, a key organization which aims to steward the Ethereum ecosystem's development, has also deployed a Safe where they plan to participate broadly DeFi. To date, they have about $40K inside the wallet with 50,000 ETH to be transferred there soon.
